Outdoor spaces

Our extensive outdoor areas have been carefully planned to bring together creativity, imagination, sensory stimulation and play that encourage kinaesthetic learning (learning by doing) and create an awareness of the world around us.

At the front of the nursery building there is a traditional school playground. The children use this for games, chalk drawings, and additional adult-supported activities and experiences.

Babies' and Tiddly's Area

We have a dedicated area for Babies and Tiddly's, including soft play flooring to support our youngest children and a lawned area supporting a range of sensory and physical experiences. They also have access to our unique vast outdoor learning environment.

Grassed area, vegetable patch and sensory garden

Behind the nursery and with a clear view of the fields beyond, we have a vast outdoor environment supporting all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all ages. The vegetable patch is tended to and nurtured by the children, promoting active learning. The sensory area includes large water and sand play and hands-on opportunities to experience the wonders of nature.
