Our beautiful Victorian schoolhouse provides a bright, spacious and stimulating learning environment that allows children of all ages to learn valuable skills through play. All of our play areas are set up to provide cross curricular learning opportunities to promote curious minds.

Every child has their own unique Learning Journey which records their learning, development and achievements throughout their time with us. This will be yours as a keepsake when your child leaves Inside Out so you can look over your child's time at nursery for years to come.

At Inside Out we combine a high level of care with education by following the Department of Education's learning framework: "The Early Years Foundation Stage".

Baby Room (4 months to 14 months)

The Baby Room accommodates 6 babies allowing for a more nurturing and caring environment tailored to each baby's individual needs. The Baby Room is structured to provide babies with the opportunity to independently explore sensory resources and activities to encourage and nurture each developmental step.

Links between home and Nursery are really important to us. Your child's Key Person will complete a Daily Diary about your child's experiences that day. They will share this with you at the end of each session.

Tiddly's Room (14 months to 20 months)

The Tiddly's Room accommodates 9 children with a free-flow approach to play into their own dedicated garden area; promoting and encouraging play and exploration. Resources are stimulating and open ended so they can be used, moved and combined in a variety of ways. All activities and resources, both inside and out, are set out to stimulate the children and provide opportunities to extend their current learning and development.

Toddler Room (20 months to 30 months)

The Toddler Room accommodates 17 children with a free-flow approach to play in their own dedicated decking area. The free-flow approach develops children's independence by enabling them to take a lead in their play and learning by providing a rich and accessible learning environment. When it is the child's choice, play is more meaningful and prolonged than when an activity is chosen for them.

Playschool Room (30 months to Pre-school age)

The Playschool Room accommodates 24 children in an open plan environment. Play provides key opportunities for children to think creatively, flexibly, solve problems and link ideas. The rich learning environment motivates children to access resources independently in all areas of their play.

Pre-school Room (last school year before Reception)

The Pre-school Room accommodates 24 children in an environment which supports children's progression to school readiness. This is promoted by providing conditions for rich play: space, time, flexible resources, choice and control. Sustained shared thinking is promoted through warm and supportive relationships and encouraging children's creativity and critical thinking. This gives children the broad range of knowledge and essential life skills  providing the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.
